White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations Co-Sponsors Men's Health Forum

The White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations is co-sponsoring a Men's Health Forum at the Ridgeway Elementary School on, June 23, 2009. Organized by County Legislator Bill Ryan, the Forum offers talks covering prostate health, heart disease, men’s reproductive health, and healthy eating and related health screenings. Admission is free.

White Plains, NY. July 18, 2009. As part of Men's Health Month in America, the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations (WPCNA) is co-sponsoring a Men's Health Forum at the Ridgeway Elementary School, 225 Ridgeway, White Plains, NY on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 pm. The Forum is presented by Bill Ryan, Chairman of the Westchester County Board of Legislators.

The Forum includes free blood pressure, HIV, and prostate cancer screening (no fasting required) and talks on Prostate Cancer by Dr. Seth Lerner of White Plains Hospital Center, Heart Disease by Dr. Asaf Cohen of Open Door Medical Centers, and Healthy Eating and Wellness by Whole Foods Market representatives.

The Forum offers free admission, free refreshments, and free health screenings. A colorful descriptive flyer is available for distribution and posting at http://tinyurl.com/MHForum.

Co-sponsored by Planned Parenthood, Open Door Family Medical Centers, the YMCA, White Plains Hospital Center, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Whole Foods and the WPCNA, the Forum is open to everyone and is for both men and women.

The WPCNA, which is an apolitical non-governmental organization, provides a citywide forum on education, safety, health, government, the environment, and open space. Its members are the autonomous neighborhood associations dedicated to preserving and improving the quality of life in White Plains.
