Hudson Valley Energy Consultants at Clean and Green: White Plains

The Hudson Valley Energy Consultants (HVEC), specializing in home energy audits and conservation consulting for homeowners, will be among the eco-friendly guests and vendors at Clean and Green: White Plains, the environmental event scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2009 in downtown White Plains.

White Plains, NY. Saturday, May 23, 2009. The Hudson Valley Energy Consultants (HVEC) will be front and center as White Plains kicks off the Summer 2009 season with Clean and Green: White Plains, a gala public awareness and educational event for residents, businessmen, educators, government officials, entertainers, and youth on Mamaroneck Avenue between Main Street and Martine Avenue on May 30, 2009 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.  In addition to HVEC, the eco-friendly event will feature a green vendor expo, educational exhibits, entertainment, food, and a lively kid's corner, including Westchester's Veggie Van.

HVEC, a Building Performance Institute (BPI) accredited contractor and a participating partner in the Home Performance with Energy Star Program, will introduce Clean and Green visitors to home energy audits, including the methodology, such as thermal imaging and blower-door tests, the rationale, costs, and benefits. "But," says HVEC President Peter Bell, "it's not just about finding problems and recommending solutions. HVEC will manage your green project -- big or small -- from bidding to building." HVEC provides architects, engineers, contractors, and home builders to accomplish your energy upgrade, and even helps with the funding, drawing on its knowledge of tax deductibles improvements, energy rebates, and conservation savings.

"Conservation," Bell says, "is cheaper than fuel. Going green is good for the environment and even better for the budget!"
